Darn that stupid “conflict of interest” thing!
And issue four is done! 😀 Just in time to get it to FurPlanet for printing to have at AnthroCon. 🙂 Work on issue five will probably start sometime in July, but until then I’m going to be doing some art-for-fun, commissions, and of course working on my writing projects, which you can always check out at Gneech.com.
See you soon!

Ouch. That’s one heck of a monkey wrench thrown into the gears!
Uhhh… no, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work like that. Blood relatives may not be eligible, but this is more of an ” I am your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate” kind of situation.
Well, he’s her cousin’s godfather and a friend of their boss. That’s fairly close.
*hums innocently*
*looks around*
*hums more*
Well, in a way, he’s right. After all, if Charity was to win and it got out she’s known Drezzer her whole life, there would likely be a riot. Of course, he could always recuse himself from judging her.
I don’t think that would help. If she won, then Drezzer could be accused of low-balling the other contestants’ scores. It would open the contest organizers up for a major lawsuit.
i think what it really means is Drezzer has to abstain when her turn comes up.
Can you spell “conflict of interest”? Recusing himself only works if there are more that a couple of judges.
Methinks they need to get the bashful Peacock back.
Uh, yeah, I’m with Valeyard and Helios on this one. It wouldn’t mean Charity’s out, Drezzer would be the one to have to recuse himself for conflict of interest.
“and of course working on my writing projects”. Oooh! More Brigid and Greg?! (He asked with poorly concealed anticipation and delight.)

Hmm, Charity may be ineligible, but that does not mean the whole team is excluded. I think we’re about to see where that shot of Parker in a Speedo came from. (the one use on the cover.)
I think you’re right. I was wondering if circumstances would force Parker to enter the contest.
It’s probably in the rules that contestants can’t be related to or even friends with the judges. I also suspect that it’s too late to get another judge. (It looked like there were three at the table.)
Eyes on the prize, people! Remember, goal (ultimate) /= entering contest. Goal (ultimate) = saving Rough House.
Ahem, I just binged on the classic, can you tell?
Anyway, they need to raise ten grand to pay the insurance deductible. Entering the contest is a POSSIBLE way to earn that, but Drezzer, savvy manager that he is, can probably come up with other ways. Charity should ask him for advice.
How about a concert featuring Leona. Isn’t Drezzer her manager? I believe he could “convince” her to do a charity concert to help Charity since she’s Tiffany’s niece and Leona and Tiffany overcame their differences near the end of the original “Suburban Jungle”.
Athena T. Lioness is her manager.
Drezzer is Tiffany’s manager (though she fired him,I can hear Drezzer in the background saying that she didn’t mean it)
But,.., but you guys are totally different species!! Oh,.., wait there is the Mammal connection ?
I dont think that works
But dang Drezzer is related to a lot of people
But i remember Ken the rhino the most xD
well, at least there is a “no predation rule” Parker will be safe there or any other possible victims
Is the comic on hiatus? It’s been a while since an update. Not trying to be rude but I’m just hoping the artist is okay.
I’m fine! Working on the next issue now.

Sweet! Glad to hear you’re doing okay! And loving this comic by the way!
Thanks! 😀
Finally recalled to read this as I watched the end of a classic Doctor Who. Appropriately, I read the cliffhanger about a second before the ‘Eeeeeewwwwww!’ cliffhanger sting on the DVD. (Welsh Halfwit on the CTC forums here)
I always miss that in the new show. XD They did use it once in an Eccleston ep, IIRC, and I was so stoked about it.
