Chapter: Monkey Business
Characters: Bounce Otter, Charity Cheeger, Langley Lupina, Leonard Lion, Parker Peacock, Roxie Fox, Rufo Redwolf
Location: Rough House parking lot, The Watering Hole
So… Leonard is going to sell The Watering Hole? I’m confused.
he better not!
Leonard is telling Charity that the Rough House is going to be a huge gamble, but if she puts everything into it it will pay off. She’s about to really become the boss.
… holy smokes. Is Leonard going to do what I think he’s going to do? <3
Make Charity the new owner…..that’s what it seems like he’s leading up to.
If not that, then make her the COO turning complete control of it over to her. Making her not just the “manager” the THE boss answering only to him. He holds the deed but she has the FINAL SAY in every aspect of the place.
Will there be a “No predation” sign out front?
Hmm…
This feels like a setup for a Passing The Torch moment. Curious.
Well, I was half right last week. He’s letting her keep the money; but, she’ll need it to get “The Rough House” repaired and in order. LOL.
I bet Charity’s comment about how this wasn’t “just a job” is what won him over, not the $10,000.
I suspect you’re on to something. 😉
Exactly. She demonstrated unequivocally that she’s just as, if not moreso concerned about the well being of all the ’employees’ there. And how they all pitched in to try and save the Rough House shows their reciprocation.
I’m thinking that the $10,000 was a bit of a test — he could tell that to Charity it’s not “just a job,” but the fact that the staff won, then handed over the prize my new suggests to him that they’re all willing to give it their all — which is what it’ll take to make The Rough House a success.
